Who and why?
I am a Belgian woman (40), working full time and raising my son (16). My hobbies include riding my bike and hiking in the forest.
When I learned about the horror going on in Soudan, where entire villages get exterminated and (mainly) children are dying of hunger in refugee camps (Zamzam for instance) I was staggered that there has been NO MEDIA COVERAGE whatsoever of the topic. I remember in the nineties how the famine in Ethiopia and Somalia were every day on the evening news. There were plenty of charity events. Famous singers all around the world would sing and collect money for the innocent victims of the famine.
But today, litterally nobody knows about the worse famine that human history has encountered for many many years and it is taking place NOW, in Soudan, a country 4 times bigger than France with millions and millions of people at risk of dying of... hunger. In total indifference.
I started a provocative compain to raise awareness and created this website in the hope that other people would join me.
Together we can BREAK THE SILENCE !
Join me in this adventure if you feel it is a rightful cause. I will organize events from time to time and you can find links to organizations or donate at the crowdfunding I started:
. 100% of collected money go to MSF as all costs are sponsored.
Thank you very much for your time.
